While his writing is illuminated by his exaltation of the imagination and abounds with sensuous descriptions of nature’s beauty, it also explores profound philosophical questions.-Penguin Classics Eliot as “certainly the most notable and most important ever written by any English poet.” -Oxford Classics Keats’s letters are admired almost as much as his poetry and were described by T. ” Keats was a subversive, bawdy, complex cynic whose life and poetry were lived and created on the edge.” -Lucasta Miller, acclaimed Keats biographer The only things more miraculous than Keats’s career -he began writing at the age of eighteen, and by the time he died, seven years later in 1821, he had produced a substantial number of the greatest poems in English -are those poems themselves. I'm kind of "aliened" out with so much of it in entertainment so this will still be centered on humans and the good and evil we can do. Imagine what another 100 or so years will do. We're 10-15 years from a singularity where a computer will be smarter and be able to hold more data than the brain. Clarke did with the "brain boxes" and full neural integration. I'm going to be playing with things more in the vein of what Arthur C. What kind of strange world does Aphrodite IX find herself in when she wakes up? How different will it be from what she's used to? We've also seen countless cyborgs and that's more of what "Cyber Force" is doing so I'm going to try to do something a little different with "Aphrodite IX." Primarily in that she is no longer an android. I'll be tweaking some of her character and origin so some of what you say here will no longer apply. Loose connections to "Cyber Force" make sense given that they take place in different eras, but will there be any with the original series by David Wohl and David Finch? There will be connections to the stories Marc is telling with "Cyber Force" but it will be loose and no one will be forced to read both books to understand the stories in each. "Aphrodite IX" will take place in the future. 6/30/2023 0 Comments Kel kade free the darknessThe difference is that the main characters status was NOT ambiguous to each other. Where as comparatively the first three entries in the series also ended in minor cliffhangers. In fact, they are very similar in that regard the status of the MC is ambiguous to every other character in the main cast and one of the cast's fate is truly ambiguous. The reason I did not personally like this book's ending was the same reason I didn't like previous entries ending. Most multi-part series end in cliffhangers (save the final entry). Many people like to say it's cliffhangers in general that are unlikable, but that is not really true. This isn't always a problem but when you compound it with where the book ended, it leaves many characters status ambiguous to each other. One being, some events and in particular the ending, seemed to be rushed. The issues that seem to pop up are similar to the last book's problem. Both the lore and character development is progressed across all fronts positively. And many threads are tied off, such as situations as the ending of the previous book, Tam and even Rezkin's abilities. This book is really good! Their are answers provided for many things. |
